Daily Update: D3, February 27th, 2013

Hello folks! Let me start out by saying that today's episode was rocking! It was awesome to see the entire D3 gang just freak out! It was amazing! The entire cast totally rocked it and burnt up our TV screens! I've said this before and I'll say it again - the choreographers of D3 outdo themselves every single time!

Now that Dance is officially become a part of their lives again, the D3 gang celebrates by doing what they do best - dance! They have an amazing time dancing and performing together. It was really enjoyable to watch! It must have awesome to actually shoot the sequence. There was so much going on - the boys were hanging on the ceiling bars, the boys and girls were dancing with aerial silks and of course a lot of floor work! It was just awesome! Also the song from ABCD totally matched the mood of the episode!

Everyone dances together and enjoyed themselves. Rey pulls Sharon in and she too does her bit. But she doesn't get to dance for long as she starts getting an asthmatic attack. She leaves the rehearsal hall and goes into the girl's locker room to get her trusty inhaler. Meanwhile, the time for dancing is done and the girls head to class. The boys get ready to leave when Nilesh tells Swayam that he's been getting a lot of pimples lately. How random! The funniest part is when Swayam actually starts becoming self-conscious about his pimple.

Let's go into flashback mode, now. Who remembers the time when Swayam teased Sharon when she was conscious about her pimple? Let me elaborate. Sharon was excited to meet her secret admirer and was shocked to see that she had a pimple on her face. The entire time, all the girls were trying to help her get rid of her pimple. Swayam thought it was funny because she was so stressed about such a vain thing. And now Swayam himself is getting so conscious about his pimple problem. Rey comes up with an explanation to calm Swayam down and tells him that pimples are a sign of maturity. I don't think anyone thinks that pimples are anything other than an annoyance!

While everyone else is busy with class, Swayam researches the possible causes behind Sharon losing her voice. He calls her and asks her to meet him in the projector room. When she doesn't oblige, he goes to the cafeteria and meets her there. He tells her about everything he find out and even tells her a herbal remedy to give her temporary relief. He finally tells her that she should go to the doctor and have herself checked. All the other girls also agree with Swayam and tell Sharon that she shouldn't take this lightly. I've got to say there was a major Aashi-Swayam-Sharon moment here. Aashi gets all sad and dejected when she sees that Swayam cares for Sharon so much. Also Sharon gives Swayam a lovey-dovey smile when she sees how much Swayam cares for her. Why she doesn't tell Swayam about her problem I don't know.

Taani and Rey meet with the VP and tell the gang when they meet in the cafeteria that they have been invited to an event with the board members of St. Louis. They also inform them that the dress code is formal and that the VP specifically told them to adhere to the dress code. All the girls are confused as to what they can wear. Sharon suggests that they wear sarees. Swayam and the rest of the girls are shocked to hear Sharon's suggestion. She tells them that it's no big deal. So Rey and Taani tell everyone that they will all meet at college and leave together. The boys get ready and head out when Rey arrives. They tell him that Swayam is still not ready. Rey goes to check on Swayam and they have what can only be described as a ReYam moment! Those two are so cute when they have their ReYam moments!

Here's a snippet of today's episode...

Daily Update: D3, February 20th, 2013

Before I say anything about today's episode, we have to get into Flashback Mode and look back at what happened exactly a year ago...

Rey and Kriya saw each other for the last time. The two people that everyone knew were meant to be together were being pulled apart by circumstances. The Dazzlers had just lost at the Footloose eliminations while the Weaklings impressed the crowd with their unique performance. Kriya was upset that she couldn't support Rey when he needed her the most. She was more upset by the fact that she was forced to move away and break his heart. Kriya's helplessness and Rey's heartbreak really touched me. Rey knew that Kriya had a problem but Kriya couldn't tell him why she was forced to break his heart. Rey and Kriya had a bitter breakup to say the least. Kriya lied to him and told him that she used his position to get what she wanted. Side note - I really hope that Rey finds out the truth about Kriya. She wasn't a bad person. She was just a victim of circumstance.

On the other hand, Sharon blamed herself for the Dazzlers defeat. She felt as if she was solely responsible for their loss. She was upset and wanted to talk to her best friend, Rey. But in stead Swayam comes to meet her. She is angry at first but later lets out her feelings. He patiently listens to her and makes her understand that she is not at fault. He makes her realize that Shivam is the one responsible for the Dazzlers' defeat. He tells her to always follow her heart and do whatever she thinks is right. No matter how rude or indifferent Sharon was towards him, Swayam always found a way to make a difference. He always stood by her in every situation and made sure that things were right. He never left her to figure things out on her own, in stead he guided her and always supported her.

Now let's take a look at the snippet of today's episode.

Rey has found love again with Taani. He has finally gotten over his heartbreak over Kriya and moved on to the point where he can be in healthy relationship with Taani. Taani is certainly no Kriya. Taani is shy and sensitive whereas Kriya was a firebrand. She knew what she wanted and wasn't afraid to fight for it. Taani at first, was easily influenced by what happened around her but now she's slowly becoming more assertive. Taani and Rey's love story was no bed of roses either. They had their share of misunderstandings and fall-outs with they worked together to get out of them and reach a safe place. At first, I didn't really like Taani with Rey but as time passed and Taani's character developed from a ditsy girl with a crush on Rey to a mature character who started to understand Rey truly, I started liking them together. When Rey thanked Taani for being so understanding, I instantly thought back to when Rey was with Kriya. Their breakup defined Rey for a long time. He wanted so bad to believe in love but never wanted to get hurt again. Considering what happened to him the past, I can truly appreciate how much his character has developed and matured over the course of the year.

With Sharon and Swayam, I feel like they are going around in circles. Just when they're getting close, they are pushed back to square one. Sharon is ill and Swayam sneaks into her room to take care of her. He tells her that until she is well, he will not leave. Sharon yells at him but he doesn't budge. They finally have a heart-to-heart about their 'trial relationship.' Sharon asks him why he is still doing all of this even though their relationship is not moving ahead from her side. What Swayam tells her truly touched my heart - he tells her that even though her 'like' didn't change into a 'love', his feelings for her will never change. Her 'like' is all that he needs o move forward. Swayam is so devoted to Sharon it made me wonder if it was unhealthy. Then I realized that Swayam's devotion is the only way he can show his love. Swayam is so in tune with Sharon that even before she says anything, he already knows what she wants. Sharon too understands Swayam but tries really hard to suppress it. I hope that Sharon realizes that she can't force Swayam to forget her and gives in to her heart.

Let's step aside from all the romance and lovey-dovey moments, and focus on St. Louis reality. The gang broke the rules when they left for Goa. Now that they are back, they have to face the music. From all the previews, it looks like there will a rally of some sort in protest of the actions that the AVP takes. I can't wait to see what happens next...

Daily Update: D3, February 13th, 2013

Let me start out this post by going into Flashback Mode. So last year, this time the Dazzlers and the Weaklings were getting ready to perform in the Footloose Eliminations. And guess who was the emcee for the occasion - our very own AVP! No wonder she seemed familiar...

Last year, Rey was going through a rough patch. While this year, Swayam is going through a really tough time. Last year, Kriya had to choose her friendship over her love and this year Sharon seems to be choosing her disease over her love. Both girls, Kriya and Sharon, were in a position where no matter which option they chose either they got hurt or people close to them got hurt. For both girls, their fight, if you will, involved dance. For Kriya - the fight to dance and for Sharon - the fight to stay away from dance. I personally like going into to Flashback Mode to see how much the characters have matured over the course of a year. So much has changed ever since Kriya left St. Louis and gave up her passion - dance. She not only hurt herself, but also ended up hurting the one person who was most special to her - Rey. It took Rey almost a Rey to heal and find love again with Taani. I just hope that it doesn't take a year for Sharon to realize that she will not be a hinderance for Swayam.

Now that things are in perspective, let's talk about today's episode.

The gang tries to make themselves comfortable in the storage room. The girls grumble because there is no room and the boys grumble because there's nothing they can do to fix the problem. In middle of all the arguing, Taani comes in asking for Swayam. When Rey asks her why she's looking for him, she tells everyone that she found blood on his t-shirt. Sharon instantly realizes that the blood is because of her holding on to Swayam on the beach when Rey was trying to pull her into the water. She feels bad about hurting Swayam and leaves the room to check up on him.

Sharon finally finds Swayam in the prop room. She sees him putting some sort of medicine on his injury. Just when she turns to leave, Swayam heard her and asks her if she needs anything. Sharon apologizes for hurting him. Once again Swayam asks her why she is trying so hard to push him away. She tells him that he is crossing his limits. What Swayam says next totally broke my heart! The poor guy is so in love with Sharon that he just can't live without her. His devotion for her is almost sickening! He picks up on the littlest things and yet Sharon can't trust him enough to tell him about her problem.

When Swayam asks her why she isn't dancing, she tells him that it is not his problem. He asks her if it because of him. She finally tells him that if she dances in the group performance it will prove to him that he does not mean anything to her. Now wait a second - when SwaRon became a couple, they promised each other that they would never let go of dance. So when Sharon initially broke up with Swayam she told him that along with him, she would also let go of dance. So imagine my confusion when she tells Swayam that she will dance to prove that he does not mean anything to her. Isn't she technically telling him that he does mean something to her?

Anyway, Sharon runs out the room after their 'talk' and gets an asthmatic attack. Simmi brings her the inhaler. She tells Sharon that she found out that if Sharon used the inhaler 4 hours before performing, she could possibly get through the routine without any problems. Sharon decides to take the risk. She practices for the group routine with the rest of the gang. Towards the end of the practice, she gets another attack. I'm starting to wonder will Sharon be able to perform? We all know that she does perform. I wonder if she get a huge attack after the performance. Will everyone find out about Sharon's medical problem? How will they react?

Here is a snapshot of today's episode...

Even with all the sadness and drama, I am glad we have this to look forward to. The D3 boys showed the world what they can do. Now it's time for the D3 girls are going to set the stage on fire! And from the looks of it, it's going to be a super amazingly spectacular performance!

In other news, I managed to find this little Behind-The-Scenes video of the basketball match filming in D3. Yes, I know it's old but it's fun nonetheless! Watch the boys show off their newly tanned selves!
